Tirana

Tirana it’s a mixture of Athens and Istanbul, filled with restaurants and terraces, open markets, smells and aromas. Blloku, once the district resembling Kremlin, in the heart of Tirana, reserved only for party elite and their families, is now the place to go.
From Tirana I will only point out the fact that the Albanians, accused of many wrongdoings (rightfully or not) they did not sell half the land of the villa of the former dictator Enver Hoxha to the highest bidder for cash-backs like we did with the Primaverii Palace, in which backyard there is now the Saudi Embassy. I regret spending only a few hours in Tirana.
